Calling all cruisers and readers!!

Since this is the first cruise for both Taylor and I we are trying to figure everything out. Should we book shore excursions now or wait until we get to each destination? Is it cheaper to book before the cruise or when you get there?

Also I am thinking I want to take a fun book to read. Any suggestions? Anybody read anything good lately?

We booked excursions before we left so I'm not sure if they are cheaper when you get there. Sorry. I do have a couple books that I like. I don't know if you have read them or not...Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and Poison Study by Maria V Snyder. I loved them both.

We booked our excursions on the boat. Not sure if they are cheaper, but we felt like it was a better option and that we didn't have to worry so much. I just finished reading The Lost Symbal by Dan Brown...it is the third book in the Divinci Code story and I really liked it. We have it if you want to borrow it. You could also read The Last Song so that you are all prepped for Miley's movie. I also liked another one of Nicholas Sparks books - it is called The Wedding, and is not sad like some of his other books are.

I've traveled all my life, so I'm a pretty aggressive wheeler and dealer. I've found that if you go there and show them the cash in hand, they can't resist, even if it's for less than half. You can usually get what you want if it means walking away- they'll usually come running after you. If they don't, don't worry- there's always several vendors offering the same thing and one of them is bound to take up your offer; if they don't though, you can always go back later and give them their asking price- it never hurts to try though!
